Johanna Sigurdardottir was born in1June 4th, 942. In the 1960s and 1970s, she was a flight attendant of Icelandic Airlines and a member of the company's trade union.

1978 was elected as a member of parliament of Iceland for the first time.

From 1979, 1983 to 1984, he served as deputy speaker.

From 1984 to 1993, he was appointed as the vice chairman of the Social Democratic Party.

1994 failed to run for the party chairman.

1995 broke away from the original party and established the "National Movement" party. Five years later, the "National Movement" Party and the Social Democratic Party formed a social democratic alliance.

From 1994 to 2003, he served as a member of several parliamentary committees.

From 2003 to 2007, he served as Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

On May 24th, 2007, he was appointed Minister of Social Affairs of Iceland for the second time.

On February 1 2009, the government led by former Prime Minister Gail girma Hald stepped down under the pressure of the economic crisis, and sigurdardottir, a member of the Icelandic parliament, became the first female prime minister in Iceland's history.

20 13 On April 28th, the Social Democratic Alliance led by sigurdardottir lost in the general election. On May 23rd, Gunnlaugsson became the new Prime Minister of Iceland. The Social Democratic Union led by Johanna johanna Sigurdardottir won 9 seats, ranking third with a vote rate of 12.9%.
