Resume model of studying in America

The resume of applying for a university mainly includes the following contents:

1. Title

At the top of your resume, write your name, address, telephone number and email address. If the university requires you to fill in the application number of this document on all application forms, write this application number in the title area of your resume. The difference between American resume and China resume is that you should not include other personal information, such as age, gender, marriage and family status. Never put your photo on your resume, no matter how beautiful or handsome you are. If your address will cause misunderstanding of nationality, you can add nationality, so that the university application committee can correctly distinguish whether you are an international student or a domestic student.

2. Educational experience (education)

List your high school (written by domestic students from the third grade), including the time of study, school location, your grades and class ranking. Remember to put the recent activities at the top. You can put your academic awards in this column, or list them in a separate "awards" column.

3. Extracurricular activities

List all kinds of extracurricular activities you have participated in, such as clubs, sports, art, music, drama, news, religious groups, etc. If you have many activities, classify the activities you have participated in and list them in several categories. Remember to put the most important or recent activities at the top. For each extracurricular activity item on the list: briefly describe the extracurricular activity item, mark the year when you started to participate and the year when you ended this activity, the time spent each week, and the achievements achieved.

4. Experience

Describe your work and volunteer experience. Don't forget non-traditional jobs, such as babysitting or helping the family business. For each job, write down the position, work unit, location, date and job responsibilities.

5. Bonuses; prize

Honors and awards you have won, and briefly summarize the winning contents, indicating the winning name, winning time and winning unit.

6. Published papers or research results (publications)

The listed papers should indicate the title of the paper, the name of the published magazine or periodical and the issue number; Articles published at academic conferences should indicate the name, time and place of academic conferences.

7. Others

If you have any special skills, interests, hobbies or even travel experiences that you think are important for the University Application Committee to fully understand yourself, you can also mention them in another column of your resume.
