Cheng (593-665). Formerly known as Bite Gold, later renamed Zhijie, the word is correct. A native of Dong 'e, Jeju, China, was a founding star of the Tang Dynasty and the 19th of the twenty-four outstanding figures of Lingyange.
Cheng Zhijie is a brave warrior in history, who is good at riding horses and stabbing with a hammer. During the reign of Emperor Daye, thieves rose and organized an armed force of hundreds of people to guard the village. He later defected to Shi Biao, was reused and became one of the generals in ancient times.
In 6 18 (the first year of Wude), Wang and Shi Mi fought a decisive battle. Wang led the army to attack Dan, and Shi Biao sent reinforcements and Pei Hangyan. During the battle, Pei Hangyan fell off his horse. Cheng Zhijie cut several people, picked up Pei Hangyan and retreated. The pursuer pierced his body with a needle. Cheng Zhijie broke the needle, killed the pursuer and ran away. Shi Biao was defeated and the king was captured, and he was appointed general.
In 6 19 (the second year of Wude), Cheng Zhijie joined Qin in the Tang Dynasty and was appointed as the left third army of Qin because he despised Wang's treachery. After that, Cheng Zhijie followed Li Shimin, the king of Qin, and defeated Song Jingang, Dou Jiande and Wang successively, making meritorious military service and being named lord protector.
During the struggle between Li and Li, he was appointed as the secretariat of Kangzhou. He said to the king of Qin, "Your right-hand men have been beheaded one by one. Can your body be protected for a long time? Even if you die, you can't leave. " Cheng Zhijie also participated in the change of Xuanwu Gate and Wude on June 4th. During the Zhenguan period, Duke Lu changed his name.
In 643 (the seventeenth year of Zhenguan), the emperor ordered people to paint portraits of twenty-four heroes in Lingyange, and Cheng Zhijie ranked nineteenth.
During the reign of Emperor Xianqing of Tang Gaozong, Cheng Zhijie led his troops on Qingshan Road and headed for the Western Regions.
In 665 (the second year of Linde, Tang Gaozong), Cheng Zhijie died and was buried in Zhaoling.
