History and Humanity of Nanyang Town
Nanyang Town is an outstanding place. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were Gong Bai who was the magistrate of Hongwu County in the 24th year of Hongwu (139 1), Gong Shilu who was the magistrate of Shunde in the Ming Dynasty, and Zhang Zi who was the magistrate in Guangdong. During the revolutionary war, there were Wang Zhixiang, secretary of Shouning County Committee, Wang, secretary of Taishun County Committee of Zhejiang Province (deputy magistrate of Shouning County after liberation), guerrilla commander of Fushou Center County Committee (later deputy commissioner of Fuan District), Wei Xu, deputy of Fujian Provincial People's Congress, and Wang, a national model worker (former director of Nanyang Village, secretary and instructor of Nanyang Volunteer Fire Brigade). Nanyang town is a red hot spot. In 1930s, Ye Fei, Su Yu, Fan Wenlan, Liu Ying, Ceng Zhi, Ye Xiufan, Xu Wei and other revolutionary predecessors established base areas in the Ganglong area, built the revolutionary rear area in eastern Fujian, and carried out arduous guerrilla struggles, which wrote a glorious page in the revolutionary history in eastern Fujian. There are 224 revolutionary martyrs in the town.
