Chinese mainland is wild from the south to the northeast, extending to the Korean Peninsula and Japan, but as a horticultural plant, it is not as common as its variety Japanese late cherry.

Cherry blossom drooping branches

Yunnan zaoying

Also known as safflower high pot cherry blossom. Flowers first and then leaves, the flowers are crimson, with about 25 petals and a flower diameter of about 2.5 cm. Flowers half-open, drooping, sepals red. Young leaves are dark brown. The flowering period is from the end of February to the beginning of March. This cherry blossom originated in Yunnan, but also distributed in Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar.

Edo coast

It can grow into a tree with a height of about 15-25m. Yoshino Morii is a mixture of "the other side of Edo" and "Oshima Sakura". Many representative ancient trees in Japan are on the other side of Edo. The shape of calyx tube is very distinctive, the lower part is round and protrudes into a pot. Guanshan cherry blossom

Commonly known as "red tassel". Octuple cherry is a representative variety, which is widely planted in China. Its flowering period is in late March or early April, and the flowers and leaves bloom together. The flowers are dark red, the stem is about 6 cm, the petals are about 30 pieces, and the two pistils are divided into leaves and do not bear fruit. Pedicels are thick and long, and young leaves are dark brown. Branchlets are numerous and bent upward. The tree is small, with an average height of 2.5m and many branches and flowers.

Puxian Xiang Ying

Flowering in late March or early April, flowers and leaves bloom together. Similar to Sophora alopecuroides, it has reddish color and drooping pedicels. The flower heart protrudes from two green leaves formed by pistil leaves. It is named after two pistils, like an elephant riding by Samantabhadra, which also highlights two ivory.

Chrysanthemum cherry

Flowers bloom with leaves. The buds are red, the flowers are pink, the petals are uneven, and there are terraces. The terraces are dark, and the petals are 130- 137, plus 15 terraces. The flower diameter is 3.8-4.2 cm. Female flower calyx has compound calyx, 10, pedicel length 1.5 cm, 2-4 flowers in a bunch, flowering in early April, flowering period 10 days.
