In 2004, he got a master's degree in literature and stayed in school. In the same year, he was admitted to the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, where he studied China's poetics under Mr. Hu Ming, and received a doctorate in literature in 2007. He is now a professor at Shanxi University. In 2009, he served as Dean of the College of Literature of Shanxi University.
