Hecheng District was established in April, 1998. It is located in the west of Hunan Province, bordering Zhong Fang County in the east, Zhong Fang County in the south, Zhijiang County in the west, Mayang County and Chenxi County in the north. The extreme positions of the border are Tang Yang Village in Shimen Township in the east, Changyuan Village in Duziyan Township in the south, Zhuxi Village in Yingkou Township in the west and Luojiaxi Village in Liangtingao Township in the north. With a total area of 722.8 square kilometers, the region governs 7 streets, 3 towns, 1 tourist resort, 64 communities and 62 administrative villages.

Tianxing Cave is located at the foot of the cave in the north of Hecheng District, Huaihua City, which is 10 km away from the urban area. There are three adjacent caves, which are connected in zigzag. The longest distance is 10 m, and the south cave is the largest, with a height of 6- 10 m, a width of 25-30 m and a length of 70-90 m. There is a small hole penetrating the ground in front of the ceiling, and the light shines into the hole to form a wonderful effect of starlight flashing, hence the name Tianxing Cave.
2. Wuxi Cultural Square
The square covers an area of 320 mu, including 60 mu of water, which is divided into central square area, artificial park and natural ecological area. In the center of the square is the sculpture totem pole "Five Rivers Culture" created by Zhu Weijing, a famous sculptor in China.
