On the afternoon of March 2nd, the matchmaking meeting of Innovation Research Institute of Jiangbei New District of Southeast University was held in Sipailou Campus. Luo Qun, member of the Standing Committee of Nanjing Municipal Committee and full-time deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Jiangbei New District, Chen Chan, deputy director of Jiangbei New District Management Committee, Cai Long, chairman of Nanjing Yangzi International Investment Group, and heads of relevant functional departments of Jiangbei New District attended the meeting. Zhang Guangjun, President of Southeast University, WU GANG, Vice President, and heads of relevant functional departments, departments and scientific research platforms of the university attended the docking discussion. At the meeting, President Zhang Guangjun first welcomed and thanked the Standing Committee of Luo Qun and his party for visiting Southeast University to carry out work docking, and proposed to summarize the early construction, docking exchange and cooperation projects of the Innovation Research Institute and the future cooperation direction for win-win development through this meeting. Luo Qun, member of the Standing Committee, expressed his willingness to push the project to the ground, embark on a new road of cooperation and bear new fruits of cooperation.

After that, Vice President WU GANG introduced the construction progress of Innovation Research Institute. Professor Ran Bin, Dean of the Southeast University-University of Wisconsin Intelligent Network Joint Research Institute, focused on the idea of building autonomous driving in Nanjing "Silicon Valley" and hoped to get support from all parties in Jiangbei New District. Gu Zhongze, Dean of the School of Biological Sciences and Medical Engineering, and Xie Wei, Dean of the Institute of Life Sciences, respectively reported the construction plan of the Purple Mountain Laboratory for Life and Health and the construction plan of the Comprehensive Science Center for Life and Health.

After listening to the report, President Zhang Guangjun put forward three requirements and hopes for promoting the construction of innovation research institutes and deepening the cooperation between districts and schools. First, accelerate the construction process of innovation research institute, complete the registration of research institute as soon as possible, improve the organizational structure and operation mechanism, and hope to support the research institute to implement the Industry-University-Research project and promote the agglomeration of innovation elements and the upgrading of high-tech industries in Jiangbei New District; The second is to highlight the key work and projects of the first phase of the Innovation Research Institute, especially aiming at the frontier direction of vehicle-road coordination and docking the major deployment of the "traffic power" strategy, hoping to vigorously support and implement the national "vehicle-road integrated automatic driving demonstration zone" project and construction as soon as possible; Third, continue to strengthen the establishment and construction of major scientific and technological infrastructure in biomedical big data countries, and hope to further concentrate resources and focus on promoting the cluster development of life and health industries according to the objectives of national laboratories.

In their speeches, the Standing Committee members fully affirmed the docking cooperation project and President Zhang's speech, and said that they would vigorously deepen and actively implement it. He asked the relevant departments of Jiangbei New District to dock as soon as possible and strongly support the implementation of the vehicle-road coordination project. At the same time, he suggested that the 5G layout of Jiangbei should be combined with other projects such as driverless driving to expand and deepen the cooperation of vehicle-road collaborative projects. He also hopes to build a national integrated circuit innovation center and a life and health innovation center in Jiangbei New District in conjunction with Dongda University to further promote the agglomeration of related industries.
