He has served as the chairman of the third, fourth and fifth sessions of the National Danxia Landform Tourism Development Research Association; From 2065438 to July 2005, he served as Chairman of the Red Bed and Danxia Working Group of the International Association of Geomorphologists, Chairman of the Red Bed and Danxia Working Group of the Chinese Geographical Society, member of the World Heritage Expert Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, member of the Geological Society of China Tourism Geoscience and Geopark Branch, member of the Tourism Geography, Geomorphology and Quaternary Professional Committee of the Chinese Geographical Society, and director of the Danxia World Natural Heritage Expert Committee of China. He is an academic leader in the research field of red beds and Danxia at home and abroad.

Great achievements have been made in tourism development, tourism culture, urban tourism, regional tourism development and theoretical research of tourism planning. In applied research, he independently presided over the planning and design of 1 inter-provincial, 1 provincial, 9-municipal, 12-county, more than 60 national scenic spots, geological parks and tourist areas, and co-chaired the tourism planning of 1 provincial and 2-municipal. He is the founder of China's national tourism thought. He took the lead in incorporating the ideas and methods of tourism development planning and tourism image planning into the tourism planning system in 1992, and completed the Anyang city image planning, the Yinshang Romantic Cultural Park project planning, the Danxia Mountain Xianglong Lake Scenic Area and Yangyuan Mountain Scenic Area development planning, and introduced the tourism marketing planning and image planning into Shaoguan tourism development planning in 1993. 1995 applies tourism culture and tourism industry planning to Qingyuan tourism development planning, 1996 puts forward the grand tourism concept with "unlimited tourism" as the core, and so on. He is a pragmatic, pioneering and compound expert in the field of tourism planning and design in China.

Research on the Sustainable Utilization of Danxia Landscape Resources in Danxia Mountain won the second prize of the Ministry of Education in 2006 and the Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award in 2007. 20 10 successfully presided over the joint application of "Danxia in China", and won the "First Class Merit" of Guangdong Provincial People's Government, the special contribution awards of Jiangxi, Zhejiang and other provincial governments, and the outstanding contribution award of the six provincial joint application leading group.
