Reporter: Schlumberger recruits a large number of fresh graduates every year. Can you give some advice to graduates on resume writing?
Xu: From the perspective of resume screeners, it is very important to write a resume, but many people ignore it. Because we receive hundreds of resumes every time we recruit, and we don't spend much time on each resume.
Reporter: What do you mainly look at in a short time?
Actually, it depends on what a resume can convey in such a short time. It is very important for a resume to make an impression within 15 seconds. A simple way to test whether a resume is attractive is to give it to someone and get it back after 15 seconds. Then you ask him how much he knows about it and how much key information he got from it.
Reporter: What kind of resume is a good resume?
Xu: There is no fixed format for a resume, but in the process of writing, we should consider what impression this resume will leave on the readers, whether it can be distinguished from others' resumes, and what is highlighted in the resume.
Resumes should be as concise as possible, not as long as possible. If a resume is written on five pages, we may only spend two or three seconds per page. We usually see some resumes. There is a big title at the top, with the word "resume" written on it, next to a name five times smaller than its font, and there are many things behind it. Such a resume is not a very good resume. People who read resumes will waste two seconds reading headlines first, and then they have to try to find useful information from many fonts.
The most important thing is to be realistic in your resume. Repetition in resumes is very serious, especially in English resumes. Many people write the same sentence and the same cover letter beautifully, but it usually doesn't give people a good first impression, because it is a shared thing. We can quickly find out whether this resume is written by him through English conversation. If his English ability can't reach this level, but his writing is good, we think this person is dishonest. We may have a better impression of a resume that is not well written or even has wrong sentences than this resume.
Reporter: Will you meet many people with fake resumes?
Xu: More! Interestingly, in some aspects, everyone writes a lot of things in the same way, such as personality, many people will write "optimistic and cheerful", "innovative spirit" and so on, and everyone will write "fluent" in language ability. As long as it is good, write it down. But in fact, when we ask specific questions, we can tell the truth from the false. In fact, what people think is a good thing is not that the more you write, the better. It's like covering up the truth. Remember, the more you write, the more chances you will be asked, and the easier it will be to expose yourself. Be sure to fill in your resume truthfully.
Reporter: Why do you think there are so many false and exaggerated things on your resume?
Xu: Many students have vague goals when choosing jobs, and they don't know much about the companies and positions they are applying for, and they don't know whether they are suitable for themselves. This is the most important reason. Many resumes are made for every company, without individuality and pertinence. As long as it's good, it's all written. At first glance, you can know that it's delivered everywhere and cast a net generally. Some people ask what this company will do after coming, and some of them are inappropriate at first sight. He's just taking a risk. I want to tell you that this is not only bad for the image of the applicant, but also bad for the image of the school, wasting his time, wasting my time, and possibly letting the really suitable person miss the opportunity.

Resume can be in the form of table or other forms. Resume should generally include the following aspects:
(1) Personal data: name, gender, date of birth, home address, political outlook, marital status, physical condition, hobbies, personality, etc.
(2) Academic content: school, major, degree, foreign language and computer mastery, etc.

Resume should concentrate the essence of college life or graduate life, be concise and avoid procrastination. Personal award-winning certificates can be attached to resumes, such as copies of outstanding students' and outstanding student cadres' certificates, copies of CET-4 and CET-6 certificates, and copies of driver's licenses, which can leave a deep impression on employers.
When writing a resume, we should pay attention to the following questions:
