1953 to 1956 studied in Taian Forestry Secondary School in Shandong Province as a teacher.

1956 to 1960 studied in the forestry department of Beijing forestry college in March.

1March, 1960 to1July, 1964, he worked as a teaching assistant in the Forestry Department of Beijing Forestry College.

1July, 1964 to1February, 1976, he served as the general office officer of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Central South Bureau, the policy research office officer of Guangzhou Municipal Committee, the office officer of Guangzhou Revolutionary Committee, and the first secretariat officer of Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
