Reporter: How did your past experience affect your popular science?
Wang Qiao: I studied English for Science and Technology in college. Engaged in software development for more than ten years after graduation. Programming needs to be organized, especially quantitative and qualitative. These more than ten years of work as a programmer have cultivated my rigorous, objective and rational behavior style and thinking mode, so this work experience is definitely helpful for me to do popular science now.
Besides, I like reading! Moreover, the books I read are not limited to natural science, and I am also a literature lover. I like a dream of red mansions very much, including works about it. I have basically read the books of Mo Yan and Yu Hua. I am still a person who likes literary creation very much. The popular science works I am writing now are more like writing novels than those written by a scientist. I think this combination is my own style and I will stick to it. In addition, I am a fan of American TV series, and I especially like to chase American TV series. These American dramas also have a great influence on me. When creating, I will incorporate some American drama elements I have seen. Especially "The Shape of Time", when I wrote this book, I wrote it as an American drama. At the end of each chapter, I have to bury a "pit" to attract readers to continue reading the next chapter.
