Xin 'an Town, an old revolutionary base area, is the birthplace of the famous "Hexi Storm". In the long-term revolutionary war, many people with lofty ideals and heroes have been created, including Mao Zhengchu, the commander of the Red Army guerrilla division who engaged in underground revolutionary activities and organized and led the "Hexi peasant uprising" in Xin 'an area; Huang Yan, governor of Anhui Province after liberation; 1955, Li Guohou was awarded the rank of Major General.
