In 202 1 year, with the approval of the State Council, the former Mengjin County merged with Geely District of Luoyang City to form a new Jinmeng District of Luoyang City. The change of administrative divisions makes Jin Meng an important part of Luoyang, and its administrative area covers the original Mengjin County and Geely District.
