The origin of Qingyun Primary School in Jianshui County can be traced back to 19 13. Founded by Chen Gong, it was originally named the second and second grade primary school hall in Lin 'an Town, Jianshui County. 1940, the school moved to Qingyun College and changed its name to Jianshui County Primary School.
1950, the school was renamed Jianshui County No.2 Primary School. 1960, the school was designated as a provincial key primary school by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education. During the Cultural Revolution, the school was renamed Xiangyang Primary School. 1979, the school resumed its original name as Jianshui County No.2 Primary School. It was not until 2003 that the school was officially renamed Qingyun Primary School in Jianshui County.
