A cover letter is not the same as a resume. The letter of recommendation mainly says that you are suitable for this unit, your major and your specialty. Resume is mainly about what experience you have had and what position you have held since you worked. I don't think it matters whether it can arouse disgust or not. The most important thing is to find a satisfactory job. Many transfer friends find their units through self-recommendation.
