1960, Li Jindou began to learn crosstalk through classes, and obtained biographies of crosstalk artists such as Wang Changyou and Tan Boru. After leaving the department, he took Zhao Zhenduo, a famous crosstalk teacher, as his teacher.
1986 In the spring, Li Jindou and Chen Yongquan took part in the tune-up of Quyi with cross talk "Song Wu Da Hu", and won the first prize of the First National TV Cross Talk Invitational Tournament and the first prize of the National New Music Grand Prix organized by the Ministry of Culture respectively.
