Bashi (left bank) is the population of the reservoir area, which is connected by four floodgates with a height of 8.3m and a width of12m. European-style reservoir buildings are built on the hillside of Fengshan. The east end (right bank) of the dam is a hydropower station, near Longshan. In order to prevent landslides, a gateway with a width of 5 meters, a height of 4 meters and a length of 98 meters was formed in the mountain. There are 12 peaks on both banks, the highest one is 580 meters above sea level, and the peak is the western slope of Zhangguangcailing in Changbai Mountain. With Longfeng Lake as the center and Longshan and Fengshan separated by a water, there is a legend that there is a phoenix in Nine Dragons. The peaks on both banks are steep and continuous, forming many deep bays. The forest coverage rate is over 90%, and the main tree species are pine, olive and poplar. Animals include pandas, foxes, rabbits and so on. There are many wild fruits, edible fungi, wild fruits and medicinal materials in the mountains. The reservoir can irrigate 400,000 mu of grain fields, and the annual power generation of the power station is130,000 kwh. The annual output of fish is 6.5438+10,000 Jin. Project 1958 started and 1960 was completed. Now it belongs to Wuchang Longfengshan Reservoir Management Office. 1993 was approved by the provincial government as a provincial-level scenic spot.
The United Nations Atmospheric Observation Organization confirmed the area as a pollution-free nature reserve and set up an observation station in the reservoir area.
