1965- 198 1 cooperated with China academy of forestry and Yanbei, Shanxi province to study the project of "transformation and high-yield technology of Xiaoyang forest" and won the first prize of scientific and technological achievements of Shanxi provincial government. 1978 participated in the project "farmland shelterbelt construction technology and its benefits" and won the national science conference award. 1980 won the second prize of scientific and technological achievements in the autonomous region. 1984 presided over the project "Study on Afforestation Technology in Arid Loess Hilly Area", and won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress and the first prize of autonomous region scientific and technological progress. Based on Chengzi Township in Songshan District, this study carried out unified planning, comprehensive management of small watersheds, combination of arbor, shrub and grass, mixed needles and broadleaves, and grid interspersed. The coverage rate of forest and grass increased from 2.9% to 33.8%, and the grain yield per mu increased from 20 kg to 1.8 1 kg in 0987, realizing forest enrichment. It is measured that the amount of soil erosion has decreased by 98%. This scientific research achievement has been popularized in six counties of the city.
