At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the population of war-torn Sichuan dropped sharply, so there was a thing called "Huguang filling Sichuan". For reasons such as avoiding chaos, military service and doing business, the Deng family in Luling moved out many times at that time. One of them was displaced and moved to Guang 'an, Sichuan during the incident of "Huguang filling Sichuan", so Deng's family in Guang 'an was a descendant of Deng Meikui.
Tracing back to the source, Deng Meikui's ancestor was Deng Yu, a famous minister of Guangxu Zhongxing in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It can be concluded that Deng Yu, a new savage, is the ancestor of Deng's family in Luling, and Guang 'an Deng's family is the descendant of Deng's family in Luling. "Deng Xiaoping's ancestral home is in Xinye." Deng Yu (AD 2-58) was born in Sanquanpi, Xinye, Nanyang in the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Well-informed and resourceful, Deng Yuhang tried to study in Chang 'an when he was a child and made friends with Liu Xiu, who later became Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty. Later, Liu Xiu took over Hebei, and most of his strategies came from Deng Yu. Deng Yu was honored as a former general because of his outstanding achievements in breaking Handan, killing Wang Lang and suppressing the peasant uprising army in Tongma. He moved to Hedong, defeated outlaws Wang Kuang, Liu Jun and Cheng Dan, and became the first of the 28 generals in Yuntai. Liu Xiu acceded to the throne, worshipped Deng Yu as Da Situ, and made him Hou Zan, when Deng Cai was 24 years old. Later, he was named Gaomihou, posthumous title. Banqiaopu Village in the suburb of Xinye County is the hometown of Deng Yu, which was called "Sanquanpi" in Han Dynasty. In the south of the village, there is a monument "Hometown of Hougong in Gaomi, Han Dynasty" erected by Deng Yu's descendants during Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty, which still exists today. Today, the descendants of Deng's family in Xinye have been bred for more than 60 generations, and their genealogy is now in the Xinye County Archives, with detailed family branches.
