A post-90s writer's thinking and self-exploration on life.
Text | ZMH on a sunny day in late summer

In another month, the first batch of people in the 1990s will be 30 years old. This generation, once known as people who grew up in honeypots, is already in a hurry and will soon embark on a middle-aged journey.

In the eyes of the older generation, people born in the 1990s don't deserve or know the word "bitterness". Once upon a time, this generation was thought to have grown up eating candied fruit. They have never experienced an era of turmoil and displacement, nor have they experienced a life without food. Anyone who dares to claim that life is miserable in this generation will inevitably be considered as "worrying about adding new words."

However, there is such a knight who jumped out with a pen as a spear and shouted loudly that our generation has "exclusive, stubborn and excellent suffering." This is a kind of physical and mental pain, which is "more advanced and more difficult to eradicate" than hurting the body and skin and not having enough to eat.

This is an old man-Liang Kui, formerly known as Zhao Xiangyu, who was born in Yinchuan, Cezanne Lake City 1994. Influenced by Wang Xiaobo, Liang Xun in college began to write.

Life is Brilliant is a collection of 14 stories written by Liang Xuan. Most of the protagonists in the story are little people living in the cracks. Their lives are a mess, but there is a stubborn force in their bones, or they are really good, or they are passionate and talented.

In this 14 story, there are more or less traces of Wang Xiaobo's style. With a slightly immature brushwork, Liang Xun reflected on himself while looking at the light and darkness of the world from the eyes of strangers in the 1990s, depicting the pain of life and the light of human nature.

First, use a pen as a spear to pierce the darkness of reality.

According to Liang Xuan, when she was in college, she "used to be a top talent for muddling along". Skip class, smoke, stay in the internet cafe all night, and then sleep until three or four in the afternoon to start a new day's life.

So I muddled along until I met Wang Xiaobo's works. It was under the influence of Wang Xiaobo that Liang Xuan began to write, stabbing the dark side of life with a pen as a spear.

Fu Zhiyang, 35, was originally a slightly weird music teacher in Helan No.3 Middle School in the article Sad Knight in Brilliant Life. Because he participated in the provincial instrumental music competition and won the gold medal, he was taken by President Chen of Xiqiao High School and directly transferred to the best local middle school. The sparrow flew to the branch overnight and became a phoenix.

Under Liang Xun's pen, President Chen has a deep foundation and takes "a good horse with a good saddle and a good pig with a good pen" as his life creed. What he did was to dig the best resources in the province to Xiqiao.

Even if it is a community security guard who is brave enough to fight gangsters, President Chen will make the school a doorman. Xiqiao High School has thus become a grand view garden for legendary talents.

"The effect is there. There are many champions and the seats are very stable. "

This summary is as light as white water, but there is no irony behind it. This is not only a mockery of President Chen's improper means to maintain his stable position, but also a mockery of the stench of the whole system.

The cool pen tip is aimed at the darkness of the system and also at students who blindly follow and don't know it. In the article "The Man with the Robot Cat", the bald man used people's blind obedience psychology to recruit a group of part-time workers, and through cooperation with the store, he created a hot sales situation and earned commissions from it. The fact is that baldness itself is also a victim of blind obedience.

Here, Liang Xun exposes not only the so-called illusion of long queues and hot sales in real life, but more importantly, he insinuates the students who "follow the trend" on campus by portraying people who are caught in blind obedience and don't know it, just to write two more strokes on their resumes.

Liang Xun's life experience is limited, and his writing also reveals a tender atmosphere. But this does not prevent him from taking the pen as a spear, aiming at the darkness of reality with his own pen tip and piercing for readers.

Second, write about people with food and tear apart the bitterness and suffering of life.

Liang Kui is from the north, or more precisely from the northwest. The thick soil and water in the northwest gave birth to the flesh and blood with northwest characteristics. Rough style and heroic but undistorted temperament have deeply influenced the young writer and the northwest figures in his works. This also makes the northwest story he wrote more impressive than the southern story.

However, this is not enough. There are 14 stories in Life Brilliant, and almost every story arranges a kind of food in Liang Xuan.

This kind of food is Lamian Noodles with the Yellow River flavor in Lanzhou Shasha. This is a bowl of mutton offal along Zilan River that A Ning will never forget. It is the tofu that I sold with Ayi after eloping against my parents' orders in Under the Helan Mountain. It is Wu Qinglian's unique crayfish in red shrimp. ...

Food plays a certain role in the development of the serial plot of the story, but more often, people write it with the help of food. The brilliant characters in each story can always find a certain fit in the corresponding food.

Among them, the coolest ink is pepper.

On the surface, the article "Red Shrimp" is about crayfish in Huichuanlou, but in fact crayfish is just an introduction, and the real trump card is pepper in mala Tang.

Pepper is small in shape, but very spicy. Hot oil tumbled, and a bag and a half were put into the pot, and all the floating in the pot was red oil and pepper. It is this kind of pepper that makes people feel like arson in their intestines that supports the crayfish unique to Huichuan Building.

Wu Qinglian, the protagonist of red shrimp, is small and bold, just like this fiery little pepper. She was at odds with her stepmother and dared to burn down her stepmother's bedroom. She has an affair and lingers in the arms of different men, but she still clearly realizes that these are just taking part in accidental amusement and can't be true.

Others see her as a little bastard, but she lives warmer and freer than anyone else. However, no matter how hot the heart is, it can't escape the cooking in the hot oil pan of life. It detonated a pot of bloody red crayfish, but it stayed in the end.

The humble food in the cool story implies one humble little person after another. Although simple to ordinary, there is a tenacious growth in my heart. They tried to break the door of a new life, but never thought that what they tore apart was the more spicy and painful side of life.

Third, the rebellious but true generation implies the hope of self-awareness.

As a post-90 s person, Liang Kui obviously feels the mental distress and confusion of the post-90 s in an increasingly unpredictable world.

This kind of mental distress and confusion comes from both the pressure of the older generation and their pursuit of self-exploration.

At the foot of Helan Mountain, Chunsheng and Huangshan Mountain, 19 years old, grew up together and regarded them as brothers and comrades. However, the affection and friendship of their fathers made both parents actively want to rub them into a pair. Huang Shan is intentional, and Chunsheng is ruthless.

The approaching marriage woke Chunsheng up like a log. Chunsheng fled the reality and jumped into the canal, but she also met Ah Chun who made her heart beat. On the one hand, it is the expectation of parents, on the other hand, it is the call of self. Chunsheng, who decided not to be "sensible", finally listened to his inner call. This desperate run finally brought me a brand-new self.

The expectation of parents is a kind of pressure for Chunsheng, and it is a step-by-step life like parents. However, Chunsheng felt depressed about this kind of life and desperately wanted to escape.

The choice between parents and self faced by Chunsheng reflects the inner confusion of the post-90s generation.

People born in the 1990s have much better material conditions than previous generations. But the expectations of the older generation for the happy life enjoyed by this generation have only increased. From the perspective of the older generation, it is "not sensible" not to live according to the expectations of the older generation and to pursue oneself enthusiastically.

However, Chunsheng in this article is resolutely rebellious to the end, insisting on listening to his inner call and bravely pursuing himself. Chunsheng's rebellion indicates the awakening of this generation's self-awareness, that is, they no longer live in the expectation of others, but pursue themselves enthusiastically and firmly.

Liang Xuan's Life is Brilliant depicts the daily life of little people, and it doesn't matter whether the ending is sad, happy or unsolvable. Although I lack ideological depth and my lines are full of the breath of young writers, I can write my heart and the world in my eyes in words and reflect on the growth and confusion of this generation. Even after perceiving the darkness of the world and the pain of life, I still don't give up my love and hope. Perhaps this is the meaning of "brilliant life".
