In the contest with heaven, 100,000 heavenly soldiers could not be defeated, but they were defeated in the struggle with Buddha, and they were crushed under the Five Elements Mountain for 500 years to repent and turn over a new leaf. Later, he was enlightened by Guanyin Bodhisattva and saved by Tang Priest to protect Tang Priest's Buddhist scriptures. The Monkey King protected the Tang Priest from evil spirits all the way. After eighty-one difficulties, he finally got back the true scripture and made it a positive result, which was called "Anti-Buddha". In The Journey to the West's catalogues or poems, the Monkey King is often called an ape or Gong Jin. Other nicknames include Sun Xing, Monkey Sun, King of Apes, Qiye and Bi.
