All-China Women's Federation. China * * * led the mass organization of women of all ethnic groups and all walks of life in China to unite for women's liberation. It has a wide range of mass and sociality. It is a bridge and link between China and the people's government to connect with women, and it is one of the important social pillars of People's Republic of China (PRC).
1957 was renamed "People's Republic of China (PRC) (PRC) Women's Federation", and 1978 was abbreviated as "All-China Women's Federation". Its basic functions are: uniting and mobilizing women to participate in economic construction and social development, representing and safeguarding women's interests and promoting gender equality.
The Women's Federation implements the organizational system of combining local organizations with group members. Establish local organizations at all levels according to national administrative divisions. Its leading bodies at national and local levels are elected by women's congresses at national and local levels. Women's committees are set up in organs and institutions, and women's committees of grass-roots trade unions in factories and mines and women's committees of trade unions at or above all levels are group members of women's federations. Other national and local women's organizations registered in the civil affairs department, women's organizations serving the society and women's, fraternity, religious groups and other mass organizations voluntarily organized by women from all walks of life may be group members of women's federations with the consent of the All-China Women's Federation or local women's federations.
