Wang Defeng, born in June, 1956, doctor of philosophy. He is currently the vice president of Fudan University, a professor at Fudan University's School of Philosophy, a teacher in the teaching and research section of Marxist philosophy history, a researcher at the Center for Contemporary Foreign Marxist Studies, and concurrently the director of the aesthetics teaching and research section. The research direction is the ontological vision of Marx's philosophical revolution, and the central topic of this direction, namely "the contemporariness of Marxist philosophy and the modernization process of contemporary China".

Wang defeng worked as an electrician after graduating from high school. After the college entrance examination resumed, he was admitted to the philosophy department of Fudan University. After graduation, he was assigned to Shanghai Translation Publishing House as an editor, during which he won the honor of Shanghai New Long March Assault. 1989 returned to Fudan to study Marxist philosophy. After graduating from master's degree, I stayed in school to teach. 1998 received a doctorate.

Teacher Wang Defeng mainly teaches two courses: Introduction to Philosophy and Philosophy of Art. His teaching style is charming, passionate and insightful, and he is loved by students from time to time. He is called "the prince of philosophy".
