What are the American football teams?
The National Football League (NFL) has 32 teams. They are sometimes called franchising because they are all private investments and operate according to the company model. The NFL is the most famous professional football league in America, so it also has the most fans. Other leagues also tried to compete with the NFL, but none of them won as many support and fans as the NFL.

The NFL groups each team according to the league and department. The 32 teams competing for the NFL are divided into two major leagues: the American Football Congress (AFC) and the National Football Congress (NFC). Each Federation has 16 teams, which are divided into east, south, west and north districts. There are 4 teams in each division.
