Sihe Coal Mine started construction on 1996 12.30, introduced advanced foreign production equipment and technology, and officially put into production on12.08 in 2002. In 2006, with the approval of Shanxi Coal Industry Bureau, the production capacity of this mine was10.8 million tons/year, which was the first 10 million tons mine in Jincheng Coal Industry Group. There are 3856 registered employees in the whole mine.

Sihe Coal Mine is a key construction project during the Ninth Five-Year Plan period. The mine is located in the southeast edge of Qinshui coalfield, and the industrial site is located in Yinzhuang Village, Jiafeng Town, Qinshui County. The west side of the mining area is adjacent to Houyue Railway, which is 20 kilometers away from Jiafeng Station 1 km of Houyue Railway and Yangcheng Power Plant, and the special railway line is through.

In 2003, it was awarded "National Top 100 Environmental Protection" by the State Environmental Protection Administration.
