Zhang, Ph.D. candidate, professor and doctoral supervisor of Sun Yat-sen University, is the executive director of China English Teaching Research Association, the executive director of Pragmatics Research Association, the executive director of Functional Linguistics Research Association, the vice chairman of the Foreign Language Teaching Committee of colleges and universities in Henan Province, and the chairman of the Undergraduate English Professional Committee of the Foreign Language Teaching Committee of colleges and universities in Henan Province.

He has held courses in general linguistics, semantics and modern linguistics.

His main research interests are functional linguistics, pragmatics and contrastive linguistics.
