Zhang Shulin, male, born in 1940, Beijinger, national senior artist, is currently the vice chairman of China Artists Association. At the age of 8, he studied painting. At the age of 20, he asked for advice to learn China landscape painting. He studied under famous painters such as Xiao Lang and Zhao Songtao, which laid a solid foundation for his painting. He completed the literati painting academy with profound traditional skills and flexible expression techniques. In issue 1 in 2007, three fan-shaped landscape paintings were published on the cover of the second issue of China Art Expo magazine. The four fan-shaped landscape paintings in the second issue were selected into Volume A of China Painting and Calligraphy Auction Library together with 17 works by famous artists such as Wang Xuezhong, Sun Qifeng, He Jiaying, Huo Chunyang, Cao Dezhao, Fan Ceng and Du Ziling.

On the basis of learning from his predecessors, he spends a lot of time sketching in the mountains and traveling all over the country every year. His landscape paintings combine the strengths of Mr. Liu Zijiu and Mr. Zuo Yuedan, and also have the painting essence of Shi Tao, Xi Shi and Zhang Daqian. He has studied Zhang Daqian's landscape paintings for decades and won various painting methods. He can also write calligraphy with one hand, which makes his landscape paintings rigorous, vigorous, steady, elegant, open-minded, strong and steady, and the rocks and trees he draws are lush and antique.
