At that time, due to the shortage of provenance, Zhang Yun, the leader of the organization area, and Yu Ximeng, the teaching assistant, requisitioned 50 qualified German shepherds (male: 29, female: 265,438+0) in Kunming and other places. Later, he sent staff to Chongqing, Chengdu and Guiyang to collect 40 folk German shepherds (male: 17, female: 23). Then 20 dogs (Kunming 12, Guizhou and Sichuan, 8 each) were selected from the above 90 dogs, including 5 males and 5 females, and the breed 10 brought back from Beijing, with a total of 30 dogs as the original population or basic group, to form a breeding group for selective hybridization.

In the process of population breeding, in view of the shortcomings of small basic population and low fecundity, in 1958, 10 purebred German German German wolfdogs (3 males and 7 females) were introduced from the military dog training team of Nanjing Military Region, and the basic population was introduced in a targeted manner. Later, according to the separated coat color, closed breeding and strict selection and cultivation were carried out, and today's Kunming German shepherd dogs were formed one by one. Generally speaking, the provenance of German German German shepherd in Kunming, no matter what strain, belongs to China native species, which is related to the ancient and world-famous German German shepherd by blood.
