More than 30 doctoral and master students have been trained. 1994 graduated from northeast normal university with a doctorate in ecology. In 2002, he was a senior visiting scholar at the University of Sheffield in the UK. Mainly engaged in restoration ecology and global change ecology of subalpine coniferous forest ecosystem in southwest China. Now he is the chief scientist of the major project of "Western Action Plan", a knowledge innovation project of China Academy of Sciences. He presided over more than 10 projects such as key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, national key scientific and technological projects, and national 973 projects. 1999 won the first prize of excellent papers of the National Youth Science and Technology Forum, was selected into the talent training program of "Light of the West" of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000, won the Young Science and Technology Award of Sichuan Province in 20001year, won the title of outstanding scientific and technological worker of Sichuan Province in 2002, and won the title of academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province in 2005.
