After becoming a monk in Guangfu Temple, Faxiang studied the scriptures, kept them hidden, strictly observed the precepts, understood the cause and effect, and set an example. Take care of the rice grains. Although they are dirty, they will be picked up and eaten. After decades of hard work, you can succeed. After dinner, monk Faxiang always washes dishes for the permanent residents in the pond behind the temple. His method of washing dishes is different from others. He put the bowl in a big basket, dipped it in water and beat it with a stick. The hard clay bowl becomes as soft as cotton cloth in his hands, and it will not be damaged when hammered into any shape. After washing, he rubbed the bowl like a cloth bag over and over again, which made people dumbfounded. All the people who killed monks and slandered Buddhists in the town were taken down. Therefore, this pond is named the dishwashing pool. Faxiang monks often sit alone by the pool, staring at the void and meditating. At this time, there is always a white crane with him. When the monk returned to the temple, the crane flew away. Over time, the locals called this place Xianhewan.
Jichuan Town in the Tang Dynasty is surrounded by desolation, deep forests and dense grass, and sometimes tigers harm their neighbors. People in the town often raise money to ask Orion to kill them, but they all failed and even got hurt by them. Monk Faxiang lived in harmony with all sentient beings, set a date to summon a tiger and put it on his back. Since then, the tiger has disappeared here. After Faxiang drove the tiger away, he became famous and was called "Master Khufu", and there was an endless stream of dharma seekers.
In his later years, the old Zen master "built a temple in Nanxiaogushan, Jichuan Town" and died soon. After nirvana, disciples built a pagoda and buried it. It was named Khufu Temple. Whenever it didn't rain, villagers would go to the temple to carry out the statue of the old Zen master and pray for rain. Later, when Xiaogushan collapsed in the middle of the river, the temple of Master Khufu moved northward. In the early Qing Dynasty, he moved to Lianzidang, southeast of the county seat, and built a Zen master temple for worship. Locals call it "Lohan Khufu" or "Zen Master Bodhisattva". Later, this place was changed to "Lianzidang" as "Zen Temple", which is now Zen Village in Guangling Town, Taixing City.
"Lohan Khufu", a great monk and virtue in Taixing history, still lives in the hearts of Taixing people after thousands of years. Guangfu Temple, Xianhewan, shi bo Pool, Zen Hall and other relics still exist, which have been integrated into Taixing's profound cultural accumulation.
