According to official website of Putian Huangshi No.8 Middle School, Putian Huangshi No.8 Middle School has reached the first-class standard this year. 1956, the school was taken over by Putian County People's Government and renamed Putian No.8 Middle School. During the "Cultural Revolution", it was once called "Putian County Huangshi Kangda High School" and "Putian County Huangshi No.1 Middle School", but it was renamed "Putian No.8 Middle School" with the approval of Putian Municipal People's Government in 2003. It is a full-time public complete middle school.
