There is no fixed single form of English resume, and candidates can decide which form to adopt according to their own specific conditions and design flexibly. Generally speaking, according to the focus of personal experience, you can choose the following three forms:

Basic resume, focusing on academic qualifications, is suitable for fresh graduates or unemployed job seekers after graduating from high school. Because I have no work experience, I concentrate on my studies and start writing with the highest education.

In a basic resume, it generally includes the following elements:

A. Personal data/information: name, address, postal code, telephone number, date of birth, place of birth, gender, height, weight, health status, expiration date and ID number. Because they are fresh graduates or graduated from middle school soon, they are generally not married, so they can omit two items: marital status and children. Of course, if graduate students get married, they should also make a statement.

B. work/career goals.

C education: the name of the school or department, the degree, the starting and ending time, the courses and achievements, social practice, extracurricular activities and awards related to the position applied for should be listed one by one.

D. Special skills (special skills)

E. Hobbies/interests (hobbies) If it has been indicated in the extracurricular activities of academic projects, there is no need to repeat this item.

Experience-oriented resume

This form of English resume is often based on work experience, and the experience and achievements related to the position you are applying for are written in chronological order, putting work experience before academic qualifications. The time sequence of experience and education is from near to far.

There is no doubt that this form of English resume is suitable for job seekers with work experience.

A chronological resume usually includes the following contents:

A. The specific content of personal data is the same as that of a resume based on academic qualifications. However, since you have worked for many years and have entered the marriageable age, whether you are married or not, you should indicate your marital status and children.

B. work/career goals.

C. Work experience (work experience) must specify your position, responsibilities and achievements in each work unit, as well as the start and end time of the work.

D. Education: Because you have worked for many years, the employer focuses on whether your work experience is qualified for the position you are applying for, so your education is only a reference factor. You don't need to write it in detail based on your education like a resume, just indicate your school name, starting and ending time and degree.

E. technical qualifications and special skills.

F. scientific research results.

Function-oriented resume

This form of English resume also highlights work experience, so it contains the same elements as an experienced resume. The fundamental difference between experiential resume and functional resume is that experiential resume arranges work experience in chronological order, while functional resume summarizes work experience according to the function or nature of work, which is not coherent in time and aims to emphasize some specific work ability and adaptability. For example, you used to hold the same position or be responsible for the same business in two different work units, which can be summarized as one project.
