Biographical notes
Liu studied in Shandong Art Institute and Shanghai Conservatory of Music successively, and graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2003 with a doctorate in violin playing. 1990- 1993 was employed by China Radio Symphony Orchestra and participated in many international music festivals.
Major achievements
In 2002, at the invitation of Texas Music Festival, he went to the United States to be the violin soloist and chief violinist of "China Music Week". In 2003, he held three solo concerts in Russia. In 2005, as the only foreigner, he was invited to attend a large Russian concert in glinka Concert Hall to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory of the anti-fascist war. In 2007, on behalf of China, he led the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra "Qindao Octet" to Russia to participate in the "China Culture Year" performance. In 2007, he was invited to participate in the performance of "Korea Child Shadow International Music Festival". In 2009, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, as the chief of Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, he gave concerts at Carnegie Hall, Harvard University and Yale University. He is a member of China Musicians Association, the 9th Shandong CPPCC, the 9th Shandong Youth Federation and the 10th Youth Federation Standing Committee. He was awarded the title of "National Excellent Teacher" by the Ministry of Education and published many academic papers.
