Unfortunately, the director James Gregenhaus failed to grasp Jackie Chan's unique sense of joy and took the tone of the film too seriously, thus losing the consistent intimacy of Jackie Chan's works. Maybe Jackie Chan was not satisfied with his performance in the film, so he began to shoot "Never Give Up" with Hong Kong flavor, but it was very popular and shot as many as four episodes in a row.
