Sheng Aiyi's Character
Sheng Aiyi (1900- 1983) was the seventh lady of Sheng Xuanhuai, the largest capitalist in modern Shanghai. She had an early relationship with Song Ziwen.
Sheng Xuanhuai died in 19 16, and Sheng Aiyi was only 16 years old. She is well informed. She can not only write poetry, embroider, but also write well. At that time, Song Ziwen had just returned from studying in the United States. I used to be the English secretary of Sheng, the general manager of Hanyeping Company (the fourth brother of Miss Qi). I often go in and out of Fu Sheng and know Sheng Aiyi. In order to pursue Sheng Aiyi, Song Ziwen took the initiative to be her English teacher and often told her about the scenery and customs on the other side of the ocean. Soon, the learned English teacher won the heart of Teacher Qi.
1923 In February, after the mutiny in Chen Jiongming, Guangzhou was put down, Sun Yat-sen went from Shanghai to Guangzhou to rebuild the revolutionary regime. He sent a telegram urging Song Ziwen to go south to Guangzhou to join the revolutionary regime. Song Ziwen was overjoyed, but reluctant to let Miss Qi go, so he advised her to go to Guangzhou with him. But Mr. Qi has no courage. When she left, she gave him a Jin Yezi and said that she would wait for him to come back. Since then, Song Ziwen has successfully entered the political arena in Guangzhou. He assisted Sun Yat-sen in organizing the Central Bank and became its president. Later, he successively served as Minister of Finance of People's Republic of China (PRC), Director of Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance and Minister of Commerce of the Central Party Department.
Mrs. Yue Zhuang (lishixinzhi.com in history) died in September 1927. The three sons of the Sheng family, Sheng, Sheng Chongyi and Sheng, except Miss Qi and Miss Ba who are still in the boudoir, all the property of Yizhuang belongs to themselves. Miss Qi is a modern woman. She sued according to the provisions of the law of the Republic of China on equality between men and women. Finally, with the support of the Song sisters (Song Ailing and Soong Ching Ling), she finally won the sensational inheritance lawsuit.
1930, Song Ziwen returned to Shanghai, and she married Zhang Leyi, a good family. Teacher Qi was so sad that he fell ill. It was not until she was 32 years old that she married Mrs. Zhuang's nephew Zhuang Zhujiu. She set aside 600,000 taels of silver from her inheritance. In Shanghai, the Ballroom of Bailemen was built, which was praised by the outside world as "the first Yuefu in the Far East". After poor management, sell and transfer.
Sheng Aiyi's emotional grievances
Gratitude and resentment towards Song Ziwen.
There are two famous Miss Qi in Shanghai, one of whom is Miss Qi Sheng Aiyi in Sheng Xuanhuai.
Sheng Aiyi is the biological daughter of Mrs. Zhuang, the head of the company. When her father died, she was only 16 years old and was already slim. Her brother Sheng Laosi was then the general manager of Hanyeping Company. He has many friends from all walks of life in Shanghai and is busy outside all day. Sheng Aiyi is his mother.
Mother's darling, accompany you day and night. If Mrs. Zhuang has any personal secrets, most of them are handled by her, so when she was less than 20 years old, she was well-informed and glib, and she was famous for her arrogance in Shanghai.
At that time, I had just returned from studying in the United States and was recommended by my sister to be the English secretary of Sheng Laosi. Because I was a tutor of Miss Sheng, I was familiar with the Sheng family from top to bottom. Because of all kinds of entertainment, Sheng Laosi lived in Fuzi Pavilion and slept almost until noon, while Song Ziwen's style was western-style, and he came to Fu Sheng to report his work by the hour. He saw that his master was too late to get up, so he had to wait in the living room. Mrs. Zhuang and Miss Qi can't stand it anymore, and sometimes they come out to say hello, which gives him a chance to get close to Miss Qi.
Song Ziwen is a handsome man with elegant and decent manners. He never dragged his feet, and soon won the trust of Sheng's family. Soon, he not only took the initiative to be Mr. Qi's English teacher, but also often told her about the exotic scenery and customs on the other side of the ocean, showing his erudition as much as possible. Miss Qi has never been abroad, so she can't stand his "bravado" and her arrogant heart is gradually moving closer to him.
But things are not as romantic as expected. Miss Qi's mother, Mrs. Zhuang, just doesn't agree with this marriage. At first, she thought the young man was good-looking and came back from studying abroad. The two young people seemed to hit it off very well and were quite moved, but they didn't know much about their family, so they asked Li, the big housekeeper at home, to inquire. Li came back and reported, "The Song family is from Guangdong, and his father plays the violin in the church. How can Miss Qi marry such a family? " Mrs. Zhuang knows that the door is not right and she can't promise him!
Fortunately, the power was in Sheng Laosi's hands. He gave an order to kick the little secretary away and transferred to Wuhan to be the chief of the accounting department of Hanye Pinghanyang Iron Works. Song Ziwen knew it was a pastime, so he went to work for a few days. Because of his dignity, he soon returned to Shanghai. He has a stubborn temper, and the more Mrs. Zhuang obstructs him, the more he works hard. Sometimes in the street, when he saw Miss Qi's car in front, he stepped on the gas pedal to catch up, put the car in front of Miss Qi's car and insisted on talking to it. 1923 In February, after the mutiny in Chen Jiongming, Guangzhou was pacified, and Dr. Sun Yat-sen was in urgent need of talents from all walks of life to rebuild the revolutionary regime in Guangzhou. Song Ziwen was introduced by his second sister Soong Ching Ling and used by Sun Yat-sen, thus stepping into politics. At that time, Dr. Sun Yat-sen sent a telegram urging him to go south. I thought it was a good opportunity for personal development, but I was worried about Miss Qi, so I urged him to go to Guangzhou together.
