Workflow and responsibilities of DQE, SQE, PQE and CQE

The English full name of QE is quality engineering, and Chinese means quality engineering. It is mainly devoted to providing technical support for quality management activities, such as reliability testing, setting of inspection procedures, formulation of inspection instruction (SIP), and analysis of defective products or faults. QE is a procedure to establish, analyze and improve quality and technical control. Some enterprises subdivide QE into DQE, SQE, PQE and CQE.

DQE: full name: design quality engineer, representing design quality engineer, mainly focusing on quality control from product design to mass production, including customer new case quality docking and related demand assessment (whether it can meet the requirements at present).

Quality standard formulation, control plan formulation, (reliability testing, material certification, including relevant test plans and standards, if necessary), buglist statistics, project high-level meetings, promoting various departments to improve problems, managing buglist, and summing up experience. Undertake trial production and transfer relevant information until mass production.

SQE: full name: supplier quality engineer, that is, supplier quality engineer.

Workflow:

1. Evaluate the samples of suppliers participating in the supply and give the selected opinions.

2. Control the quality of raw materials provided by suppliers, pursue Excellence, report relevant quality problems and assist manufacturers to check and modify them.

3. Make inspection plan for incoming inspection department and conduct some training.

4. Evaluate the quality of products provided by suppliers, and participate in the evaluation and evaluation of new suppliers in the next quarter.

Quality department, purchasing department, supply chain management department, performance management department, IQC, inter-departmental project team.

PQE: full name: product quality engineer, that is, product quality engineer.

Workflow:

1. According to the project requirements, review the new product data of new product research and development, and give the PFMEA report.

2. Review product QC engineering drawings, examine and approve product inspection standards and work instructions, evaluate the effectiveness of inspection fixtures and the effect of training inspectors.

3. Copying, PQC and OQC processes are responsible for monitoring and analyzing, pointing out loopholes and handling them in time.

4. For the customer's suggestions on products, you need to be responsible for timely review and feedback, and give solutions and audit reports.

5. Combined with the feedback from the previous generation of products, conduct the trial production audit of the next generation of products, and track the trial production results.

CQE: full name: registered quality engineer, that is, registered quality engineer.

Workflow:

1. Responsible for the after-sales of products, analyzing the dynamic changes of product quality principles, systems and teams, tracking and reporting customers and suppliers, and even training and creating excellence.

2. Collect and analyze data across disciplines, formulate feasible standards and quantitative methods, and give preventive and corrective measures.

3. Plan formulation, material selection, sampling measurement and other work arrangements, and review and report plans and results.

Departments involved:

Quality department, product after-sales department, customer service department and inter-departmental project team.

Example description:

In an enterprise, when a new product needs to be developed, SQE needs to communicate and cooperate with the purchasing department to evaluate the samples of suppliers who come to participate in the selection. After the materials arrive at the enterprise, SQE and PQE need to control and audit the quality. Finally, customers give feedback to the products, and CQE plays the role of after-sales.
