Where does Xuanyuan currently live?
The Yellow Emperor, named Xuanyuan, was the leader of a tribe. He first lived in northwest China (now northwest Shaanxi Province). Emperor Yan, whose name is Shennong, is the leader of a tribe in western China (now Qishan area in southern Shaanxi). Chiyou is the leader of Jiuli tribe, which was originally located in the southeast of China (now Shandong and Anhui). The three clans gradually advanced to the central area of China, and as a result, Jiuli entered first. When Emperor Yan also advanced to the central region of China, he met Jiuli and the two sides clashed. After a long struggle, Jiuli won. Emperor Yan was forced to flee to Zhuolu (now Huailai County or Zhuolu County, Hebei Province), and joined forces with the Yellow Emperor who had already moved there to jointly fight against Jiuli. This is the battle of Zhuolu. Jiuli was defeated and Chiyou died. Part of Jiuli joined the two tribal alliances of Yan Di and Huangdi, and the other part went south to live with Miao Man tribe. Shortly after Emperor Yan and Huangdi defeated Jiuli together, there was a big conflict between them in Hanquan (now Huailai County, Hebei Province), which was the "Battle of Hanquan". Finally, Emperor Yan was defeated, and the Yellow Emperor and Emperor Yan formed a new alliance. After Huangdi, Yandi and some Jiuli settled in the Central Plains, they jointly developed the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and formed the future Chinese nation.
