Chen's doctor of petrology, professor.
1998.9.~ 200 1.8. Institute of Geology and Geophysics, China Academy of Sciences, with a doctorate in petrology.

1995.9.~ 1998.6. graduate department, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, obtained a master's degree in mineralogy.

1991.9. ~1995.6. China University of Geology (Wuhan), Bachelor of Geology 201.1~ Professor, School of Earth Science and Engineering, Nanjing University.

2005.11~ 2010.12 Associate Professor, Department of Earth Sciences, Nanjing University.

2003.10 ~ 2005.11,lecturer, Department of Earth Sciences, Nanjing University.

200 1. 10.~ 2003.9., postdoctoral fellow, Peking University Institute of Earth and Space Sciences, participated in the 330th voyage of Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) from February 20/kloc-0 to February 201/.

From July 2006 to June 2006, visiting scholars mainly studied igneous petrology and mantle geochemistry at Max Planck Institute of Chemistry in Germany, including the following topics:

Growth and evolution of continental lithospheric mantle; Melt-rock interaction in the mantle: Genesis of alkaline basalt.

At present, the Cenozoic basalts in eastern China are mainly studied.

There are a large number of Cenozoic basalts in the eastern coastal areas of China, which are 4000 kilometers long. Their geochemical characteristics are very similar to those of typical oceanic island basalts, but the understanding of their genesis and background is still superficial. By analyzing the elemental geochemistry and radioisotope (Sr, nd, Hf, Pb) composition of basalt, our research group explained the genesis of basalt, and discussed the lithologic composition of asthenosphere mantle and the fate of its heavy cycle crust.
