Jiro Kakuetsujiro (1903- 1982) was an aviation engineer during the Showa period in Japan. Born in Fujioka City, Gunma Prefecture, he graduated from the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Imperial University of Tokyo [1]. He used to be the design director of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It is famous for developing many famous aircraft types during World War II, such as Zero carrier-based fighter.
