1979- 1986 studied in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences of Nanjing University, and obtained bachelor's and master's degrees; 1986- 1990 worked in Nanjing Institute of Meteorology; 1990- 1993 studied for the doctor's degree of lasg. He conducted cooperative research at Stony Brook University in the United States and BMRC in Australia. Responsible for and participated in many scientific research projects and published more than 50 research papers. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research of East Asian monsoon and related numerical simulation and prediction, including the seasonal and interannual variation of monsoon, the influence of hemispheric circulation interaction on monsoon, ENSO cycle and its influence on East Asian monsoon.
