Abstract: In the requirements of practical writing, the strict logic of practical writing is very important. After teaching students the format, steps and methods of writing, we give them writing materials and let them do writing training. The articles written are often unsatisfactory. One of the main reasons is that students can't lay out the article well, grasp the logical rules of writing content, and express the problems to be reflected completely and rigorously. In other words, logical thinking is not well applied to practical writing. This paper tries to analyze the function, existing problems and teaching methods of logical thinking in applied writing, and puts forward my own views and suggestions.

Logical thinking means thinking regularly. The so-called logical thinking ability, as far as its basic content is concerned, is the ability to master the laws of identity, contradiction and sufficient reason in formal logic. If thinking violates these laws, it will inevitably lead to fragmentation, unclear meaning, far-fetched and even absurd phenomena. Logical thinking in practical writing is to arrange the order reasonably, seek the reasonable layout of the article, and pay attention to what to say first and then what to say. Because rigorous logic can not only make the article highlight the argument, but also make the reader accurately read the author's intention, thus providing a quick solution to the problem.

First, the role of logical thinking in practical writing

1, the article layout is reasonable and clear.

Problems in students' compositions, such as "incoherent speech", "incoherent preface" and "unclear hierarchy", seem to be language problems, but are essentially logical thinking problems. If we can arrange the content to be expressed in a reasonable order and layout through rigorous logical thinking in writing, so that readers can understand the author's intention and provide a basis for solving problems.

2. The theme is clear and prominent, and the viewpoint is clear.

Most practical writing requires "one article and one thing". Therefore, in writing, if you want to use logical thinking to make the theme clear and prominent, you must concentrate your thoughts. An article can only achieve the purpose of reporting and asking for instructions if the main meaning is expressed very clearly; Otherwise, rambling and confusing content will make it difficult for readers to grasp the center and the main idea.

3. Be able to properly analyze events and explore the essence of the problem.

Besides asking questions, practical writing is more important to report and solve problems. At this time, it is necessary to use logical thinking to analyze the events, sort out the problems that need to be reported and solved in an orderly way, and explore the essence of the problems through the appearance of the events, thus providing decision makers with solutions to the problems.

Second, the current problems in practical writing

1, the writing reason is vague and easy to misunderstand.

If you write a "leave note", the general reason for students to ask for leave is: I am unwell and need to ask for leave, please approve. In the article, the word "physical discomfort" can be misleading. Is it psychological or physical discomfort? How many days do you need to ask for leave? Do you have a sick leave certificate? For this reason, although the person who granted the leave probably understood the intention of the person who asked for leave, he could not immediately grant the leave because he wanted to ask or investigate the reasons for the leave. In this way, the rest time is also virtually delayed.

2, data writing is not standardized, giving people loopholes.

If you write "IOU", students will generally write this way: ×× 100 yuan is borrowed now. The article does not mention when the borrowed money will be returned, and the amount will be filled in in Arabic numerals, which will be used. 100 yuan in the article can be rewritten as 180 yuan or 200 yuan.

3, the project classification is unclear, the number is not exact, and it is easy to cause work mistakes.

Such as "receipt": 404 clothes and bedding, 482 books and some stationery have been received. Clothes, bedding, books, etc. In this paper, there is no further clear classification, nor does it indicate which unit or individual they were collected from, which is easy to cause mistakes in work.

4. The structure is not complete enough and the organization is not clear enough.

If you write a "term summary", most students will write an overview, study situation and lessons learned, but they will often forget the future plan, resulting in an incomplete article. At the same time, when introducing the learning situation, some students were unclear and failed to highlight the key points, and listed the collected materials as a running account.

Third, how to run through the teaching of logical thinking in teaching

Applied writing, as its name implies, is writing about practical application, which is another kind of writing opposite to literary writing. Literary writing is also called literary creation. It creates characters by thinking in images, creates a unique artistic conception of life, and expresses feelings to impress and infect people, thus achieving the purpose of inspiring, educating and entertaining people; It can use fiction, imagination, exaggeration and other methods to shape the typical, without corresponding to specific people or things in real life. Applied writing, on the other hand, uses logical thinking to express the author's intentions and opinions through simple language, telling people what to do, how to do it, say one thing and two things, and not allowing fiction to achieve direct action results. Therefore, through the teaching of logical thinking, it is a key point of teaching to let students know how to use logical thinking to lay out articles, analyze problems and solve problems. The author believes that we can mainly start from the following aspects:

1. Teach students to master the writing requirements of all kinds of practical writing, and reflect their understanding of logical thinking in the writing requirements.

In practical writing, writing requirements are often mentioned. In the writing requirements, clearly put forward the writing steps, format requirements and writing norms, master the writing requirements, that is, grasp the laws of things and further understand logical thinking.

2. Teach students to master the main content or clauses of practical writing.

In some professional practical writing, it is very important to master the necessary clauses of practical writing, because these necessary clauses are listed according to logical thinking, which have certain standardization and play a core role in practical writing. For example, in economic contracts, the contract law has made suggestive and exemplary provisions on contract terms, among which eight main terms are listed as necessary terms. If the author fails to omit some clauses in the order of clauses or reverse the order of listed clauses, such as the lack of quality requirements, price performance rules, dispute settlement methods, force majeure and treatment, the contract will cause controversy and even lead to invalidity. Therefore, mastering strict logical thinking is an essential factor in writing practical writing.

3. Guide students to improve their writing adaptability in the logic of practical writing.

A good practical writing should not only have a good Chinese foundation, but also have certain writing adaptability. This good writing adaptability requires us to have a certain pertinence to logical thinking in writing. For example, when writing a job application paper, many students will write personal basic information, education, self-evaluation and so on. Follow the writing steps, but they often ignore your professional skills and your ability to operate independently after obtaining a degree. At this time, students should be guided to think from the perspective of corporate recruiters, and strive to grasp the key points of recruiters, so as to write targeted cover letters instead of copying model essays. Therefore, the pertinence of logical thinking is also a factor in applied writing.

4. Improve students' analytical level in practical writing.

There are many kinds of practical writing, but in enterprises, professional practical writing still accounts for the majority. Therefore, while learning business practical writing well, we should further guide students to improve their analytical ability of practical writing. For example, to learn to write a financial analysis report, we must first guide students to make a general explanation of the financial situation of the enterprise for a period of time; Secondly, we should guide students to think from the perspective of enterprise decision-makers, thinking about what causes the changes in the financial situation of enterprises, and what aspects enterprises should start to improve the existing situation of enterprises. Through the guidance of this logical thinking ability, students will use professional knowledge to think about the layout of the whole article and arrange the content of analysis in an orderly way. Only in this way can a complete and targeted financial analysis report be presented, instead of simply copying examples and model essays.

Fourthly, starting with the training of logical thinking ability of practical writing, we can expand students' ability to deal with problems.

With rigorous logical thinking ability, students can easily grasp the laws of things and use logical thinking to think and choose problems in study, life and work, so as to find solutions to problems as soon as possible. For example, in the operation of the school student union, we should strengthen the training in this area, from writing campaign speeches to writing activity plans, semester plans, semester summaries, departmental feedback and other aspects of training. And guide them to think about problems step by step with logical thinking, think about the causes of problems, and propose solutions to problems. Through these trainings, the cadres of the Student Union will be gradually promoted from an ordinary student to a student with certain organizational and coordination skills. This not only provides a good assistant for school management, but also provides a good practical stage for students to go to society in the future.

To write practical writing well, it is the only way to read and write more, study hard and practice hard. However, reading and writing should not be based on students' rigid plagiarism of model essays, and they lack the training of logical thinking ability. If so, even the best practical writing is empty and can't really reflect the practicality of practical writing. Therefore, in the teaching of practical writing, in addition to teaching students to accurately grasp the writing format of practical writing, it is more important to guide students how to use logical thinking to write practical writing in a targeted and practical way, so that the teaching of practical writing not only embodies the generality of writing teaching, but also has its own personality. In this way, the teaching of practical writing will not be boring.
