Karl Heinz Neulinger was born on March 36, 1938. He is a German football player and a full-time defender. He was born in Durham (then in Rhine, Prussia, now North Rhine-westfalen). He is a player with strong athletic ability, strong offensive ability and strong physique. Because of his continuity in quantity and quality and his versatility, he was nicknamed "Volkswagen". In fact, although he is usually deployed as a defender, he can be competent in any position on the back line, and can also be a central defender, a scavenger or even a defensive midfielder. At his peak, he was often regarded as one of the best and most complete left-backs in the world of his time, and only jacinto Faccetti, nilton santos and Silvio Zorini could match him.

1962 won the German championship with the Cologne Club and won the German Football Player of the Year. 1962 performed well in the World Cup and was selected as the "Dream Team" of this tournament. 1963, Shi left cologne for Mantova. His Serie A debut was against Milan, and Mantova unexpectedly won 4-/kloc-0. However, he only played there for one season, and was signed by Rome when he won the Italian Cup in 1964, and finally signed by Milan in 1965, and moved with Roma teammates Antonio Valentin Angelo and Angelo Sormani. He played for the Rossoneri for nine seasons and achieved some success in domestic and European competitions. He was one of the first German football players to succeed abroad.

Shi 1974 left Milan and retired after returning to his hometown Berlin Tennis Club for one season.

He participated in the first World Cup in Sweden at the age of 1958 and became one of the few players who participated in four World Cups (1958, 1962, 1966, 1970). His only international goal was 1970 World Cup semi-final draw with Italy, 1- 1 last minute draw with Italy, which was later called "divine punishment". His goal led to the famous German radio commentary "Ausgerechnet Schnellinger!" "Of all the players, Shi" means that he has never scored for the national team before, and he was one of the two German players (the other one was) who played for the Italian first division at that time. In the end, the Italian team won 4-3 after overtime. At the end of the last round against England, it was Neulinger's cross that Uwe Seeler headed the goal and changed the score to 2-2. The game was won by West Germany 3-2 after overtime. Shi's last appearance for Germany was in 197 1.
