Former Deputy Political Commissar of Armored Forces of Nanjing Military Region.
Comrade Wang Yixun, a native of Yangxin County, Hubei Province, joined the revolution in 1928 and joined the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants in 193 1 year. In the same year, he changed from a Communist Youth League member to party member and China. He has served as political instructor, guerrilla political commissar, secretary of county party committee, political commissar of reconnaissance brigade, political commissar of regiment and director of political department, deputy commander of detachment, political commissar of division and political commissar of Fujian Yongan Division, political commissar of public security department of East China Military Region, and director and deputy political commissar of Nanjing Military Region Public Security Army. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, he participated in various counter-campaigns against "encirclement and suppression" in the northeastern border region of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, and persisted in guerrilla warfare in the south for three years. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he participated in the anti-Japanese invaders' raids on Maoshan and Huainan, and commanded Maoshan to ambush the Japanese puppet troops. During the War of Liberation, he participated in the battles of seven wars and seven victories in the Soviet area, crossing the river, liberating Shanghai, liberating Fuzhou and capturing Da 'an Island. He was awarded the rank of major general in 1955.
Comrade Wang Yixun died of illness in Nanjing on July 9, 1996 at the age of 87.
