Liang Shixiong, a famous painter in China, is from Nanhai, Guangdong. Born in 1933. In his early years, he studied in Guangdong Provincial College of Art, 1953 graduated from the Fine Arts Department of South China University of Literature and Art, and entered the Central South Academy of Fine Arts for further study in the same year. 1956 stayed in school to teach after graduation. Professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, tutor of master students, librarian of Guangdong Literature and History Research Institute. He has served as director of the Department of Chinese Painting, director of the Lingnan Painting School Research Office, and deputy director of the Lingnan Painting School Memorial Hall. At present, he is the executive director of Guangdong Artists Association, a member of China Artists Association, a professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, a master tutor and a librarian of Guangdong Literature and History Research Institute.
