According to the characteristics of higher vocational education, teaching research and reform are actively carried out in teaching, and good results have been achieved. In 2004, People's Republic of China (PRC) Ministry of Education's sub-project "Research on English Teaching Contents and Methods in Higher Vocational Colleges" won the second prize for research achievements. In 2005, Practical English was awarded as a top-quality course in Shandong Province. In 2005, the project "Practical English Teaching Research and Practice" won the second prize of our school's teaching achievement. In 2006, he presided over the completion of the college-level project "Research on Cross-cultural Communication in English Teaching". In 2007, he presided over the completion of the project of Shandong Provincial Department of Education, "Shandong Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Development and Social Needs and Training Scheme of Applied Foreign Language Talents in Higher Vocational Colleges" and the project of Weifang Vocational College, "Research on Training Applied Foreign Language Talents in Higher Vocational Colleges Guided by Market Demand". In teaching, strengthening practical English teaching has obviously improved students' comprehensive English ability, and three selected students won the first prize in national english contest for college students. A classmate won the first place in the adult group of Weifang Division in the National CCTV English Style Competition, and won the first place in the city competition of Shandong Division as the main player of Weifang Team.
