Chen Lai, a Hakka in Fujian-Jiangxi Border Region, studied in Ninghua No.2 Middle School and Ninghua No.6 Middle School. Party member, associate professor of history department of Fuzhou University, historian and writer (member of Fujian Writers Association, certificate number: 1543). He has published more than 60 academic papers (about 500,000 words) and thousands of works on literature and history in various newspapers and periodicals around the world.

He graduated from the Chinese Department of Gannan Normal University (full-time) and the School of Social Development of Fujian Normal University, and obtained a postgraduate diploma and a master's degree in modern history of China (full-time).
