Confucius is a symbol of China culture, and his great thoughts are the core of China culture and the common spiritual heritage of all Chinese people. It is the unshirkable responsibility of all the people in China, including those on both sides of the strait, to preserve and carry forward Chinese culture with Confucianism as the mainstay.
Where is the wisdom of China culture reflected? It is embodied and infiltrated in dealing with the relationship between people (including individuals and society, groups and groups, countries and countries), between people and heaven (that is, nature and environment), between reality and the future, and between individuals' body and mind. What runs through these four relationships are the philosophical ideas in China culture, namely "the unity of heaven and man", "the harmony of Yin and Yang" and "harmony without difference". China culture first established the people-oriented moral concept, because our ancestors correctly summed up the normal relationship of human society from history, nature and real life, that is, countless individuals are the foundation of society and country, and personal moral cultivation is related to the stability and progress of society, thus forming a moral road of "cultivation-rule-leveling" from themselves to the world. On the basis of the extremely rich connotation of China culture, the thought of "kingly way" was formed in governing the country and leveling the world. British historian Toynbee called China an "ultra-stable" society for 5,000 years, but he didn't notice that this was one of the many reasons for stability.
The situation in today's world is quite similar to that in China during the Warring States Period, where the competing forces devour resources and destroy the environment, and the law of the jungle prevails. "Hegemony" pervades the whole world: people dominate people, countries dominate the country, and people dominate nature. In the final analysis, the reason for its hegemony is to hold high the word "profit" and tolerate the word "greed" infinitely. This overbearing world will never go on! The solution is not only to give necessary resistance and deterrence to bullying, but also to seek a long-term and fundamental way out, and to seek a relative balance between the greed of interests and the cherish of moral conscience in the whole society. It is at this point that the Chinese nation can make great contributions to mankind ―― Chinese culture has unique wisdom and rich experience to balance the relationship between body and mind, things and souls, and oneself and others. This kind of wisdom and experience, for individuals, is the worship of virtue and lifelong pursuit; It is "kingly way" for society, the country and the world.
The formulation of "Wang Dao" was first seen in Shang Shu Hong Fan: "Impartiality, Wang Dao swings. Without the party and the public, the king is equal. There is no opposition, and the king is upright. " At this time, "kingly way" refers to the specific way that Zhou Xianwang ruled the world. "Mencius" said that "there is no regret in dying for health, and the king begins." At this time, Wang Dao refers to Wang Zhidao. As for the word "kingly way", as an ideal politics, compared with "overbearing", I am afraid it is the credit of Korea and Confucianism. Although the meaning of "Wang Dao" has changed, what they have in common is that they emphasize the rule of virtue (benevolence and righteousness) at home and "self-cultivation of morality" abroad, and regard the four seas as one family. "King" means tolerance, equality, friendship and integration, and it means taking the common happiness of mankind as the ultimate goal, which is what the world and many countries lack. We are willing to carry out research in this field with our friends in Taiwan Province Province and try our best to introduce the essence of "King Way" to the whole world.
