Inner Mongolia East Electric Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Mengdong Electric Power Company) was inaugurated on June 29th, 2009. It is a provincial power company under State Grid Corporation, which has jurisdiction over Chifeng Power Grid, Tongliao Power Grid, Hulunbeier Power Grid and Xing 'an Power Grid, and is mainly engaged in power grid construction, operation and power purchase and sale. The core business is the construction and operation of the eastern Inner Mongolia power grid, with its registered place and office in Hohhot.
