Brief introduction of General Wang Jicheng
Wang Jicheng (1907- 1983), formerly known as Wang Futang, was born in Wujibei Village, Caixi Township, Shanghang County, Fujian Province. /kloc-joined the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants in 0/930 and China in the same year. During the War of Liberation, he served as deputy political commissar and political commissar of Central China Field Army 1 Division, political commissar of the 4th column of East China Field Army, and director of the political department of Shandong Military Region, and participated in major battles such as Laiwu, Meng Lianggu and Huaihai. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as political commissar of the East China Military Region Air Force, deputy political commissar of the Railway Corps and director of the political department. 1955 awarded the rank of major general. Won the Second Class August 1st Medal, the First Class Medal of Independence and Freedom, and the First Class Medal of Liberation. He is a member of the Fifth Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference. 1983 May 1 1 died in Beijing.
